Office Gynecology

Our office offers a relaxed environment where we hope you will feel comfortable in communicating your confidential gynecologic needs. We spend a significant part of our day in the office diagnosing and treating routine and complex gynecologic disorders, as well as performing routine annual gynecologic examinations.

We provide many gynecologic services within the office, all in a comfortable setting. Our goal is to address issues in a compassionate, confidential and non-judgmental manner. We understand that education is also an important part of understanding and treating many conditions. For your visit, you may see one of our qualified nurse practitioners who are skilled in addressing routine gynecological issues. For complicated issues, please schedule an appointment to see me. If you are unsure of the complexity of your particular problem, please call and speak with our receptionist or directly with one of the nurse practitioners.

Certain gynecologic conditions come on suddenly; for that reason, we will do our best to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. If your situation is urgent, we will squeeze you in on the same day provided one of our nurse practitioners or myself are in the office. If your problem is urgent, we will give you whatever appointment we can, and would ask you to be flexible with your schedule. If we are unable to get you into the office on the same day, we will refer you to an urgent care center or to the Emergency Room.

We also provide many office procedures within the office:

• Gynecologic ultrasound - for the evaluation of abnormal bleeding / heavy periods, ovarian / pelvic masses, and pelvic pain
• Saline ultrasound (hysterosonography) - for the evaluation of endometrial abnormalities such as polyps, and to better delineate location of fibroid tumors contributing to heavy/irregular periods
• Colposcopy with directed biopsy – for the evaluation of abnormal PAP smears
• Endometrial Biopsy – for the evaluation of abnormal bleeding / heavy periods
• Cryosurgery - for the treatment of specific types of abnormal PAP smears
• LEEP procedure – for treatment of cervical dysplasia found at the time of colposcopy
• IUD insertion / removal
• In-Office Endometrial Ablation – for treatment of heavy periods
• In-Office Essure Permanent Sterilization
